Pop music history: The Beatles 1960s

Pop music history: The Beatles began to take shape in 1960

The Beatles  are a group of British rock musician, was formed in Liverpool in 1960. They became perhaps the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed act in the history of popular music. The band's best-known lineup consisted of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. The Beatles is seen as the embodiment of progressive ideas, influence the socio-cultural revolution of the 60's decade.

The Beatles recorded their first songs in 1962 and 1963, and in early 1964, the Beatles set off on their first concert tour of the United States. The "Four Lads From Liverpool" were greeted with a certain degree of hysteria by teenaged (female) fans, and this hysteria was called by the term, "Beatlemania." From that point on, the Beatles were the biggest celebrities in popular and rock music, and throughout the remainder of the 1960s, the Beatles took the forefront as trendsetters in America and in their homeland in terms of music, fashion, hair styles, and what today would be called "music videos."

Although the 60s, The Beatles were successful, releasing records and films, but by 1969 they were beginning to have arguments and they wanted to go their own ways. From 1971 onwards, the band didn’t record together and in 1975, the Beatles were legally disbanded.

The end of 1962, the Beatles had to find success in the United Kingdom with the first single Love Me Do. Throughout the following year, they toured internationally until 1966 and concentrate on recording the album in the country until disbanding in 1970.
